Everyone benefits from understanding how their role fits within the broader organization, or in this case the University of California. This subject area provides three modules to help you with your understanding of how we are structured across our institution (UC governance), people and reporting (organization and hierarchical trees), and job and working titles (roles and responsibilities).
UC Governance
UC Governance describes the governance model for the UC system overall as well as the governance of UC Berkeley.
Organization and Hierarchical Trees
Organization and Hierarchical Trees describes how our organizational trees differ between our people and our data reporting. These trees are hierarchical representations that impact the financial structure of the university, and are used to manage and report on our finances.
Roles and Responsibilities
Our finance community consists of many roles and responsibilities across various levels and job titles. Understanding how our finance organization is structured within those roles and responsibilities will help with productivity and likely a better financial outcome.
