Adding Avaya Workplace to Your Campus Phone Number

Instructions

1. Go to the 'How to Order Avaya Workplace' Service Request Page

  • Go to the 'How to Order Avaya Workplace' service request page in the IST Telecom Catalog system
  • You will need your CalNet ID to log in
  • You can also find the page by searching "how to order avaya workplace" from the Telecom Catalog System home page

2. Click the 'Service Request' Link

To add Avaya Workplace to your existing phone line you will need to submit a Service Request through the Telecom Catalog:

  • Submit a Service Request to add Avaya Workplace to your PBX digital line
  • Due to e911 policies, the department administrators cannot add Avaya Workplace for another person
  • Each person must submit the request themselves to confirm they will not place 911 calls using Avaya Workplace
  • After the request is fulfilled you will be sent the instructions on how to download and configure the application on your device

3. Validate your Campus Phone Number

From the 'Add Avaya Workplace VoIP to My Line' page:

  • Enter the phone number to which you would like to add Avaya Workplace
  • The phone number will need to be recognized as a campus phone line
  • Click the 'Validate Phone Number' button

4. Confirm your berkeley.edu Email Address

  • Confirm your berkeley.edu email address as the email address that will be used with your Avaya Workplace account

5. Confirm that you Will Not Place 911 Calls from Avaya Workplace

  • Confirm that you will not place 911 calls from Avaya Workplace and have read the Terms and Conditions by checking the box

6. Click the 'Add to Cart' button

  • Click the 'Add to Cart' button after you have confirmed that you will not place 911 calls from Avaya Workplace

7. Click the 'Edit Cart and Checkout' button

  • The 'My Shopping Cart' window will display one order for 'Add Avaya Workplace VoIP to My Line' with a cost of zero dollars
  • Click the 'Edit Cart and Checkout' button

8. Click the 'Place Your Order' button

  • The 'My Shopping Cart' page will ask you to confirm if the contents of your cart are correct
  • The only item listed should be 'Add Avaya Workplace VoIP to My Line' with a cost of zero dollars
  • Click the 'Place Your Order' button
  • Placing Your Order may take several minutes
