UCPath integration to CalPlanning

March 15, 2019
CalPlanning Community,
The implementation of UCPath, the new UC-wide system for payroll, personnel, HR and benefits, is taking place during March.
During UCPath implementation, CalPlanning will continue to be available as usual. No changes to the CalPlan environment will take place until after the divisions finish entering their plans (budget submissions are due in CalPlan on Friday, March 22) and after the Financial Planning & Analysis team reviews those submissions.
In April, we will convert employee IDs and job codes in Human Capital Planning (HCP) and HCPRptg to UCPath employee IDs and job codes, so that we can load Actual compensation expense from UCPath Payroll. After this conversion, planners will be able to run HCPRptg reports, such as HCP002, with the same data with the employee and job codes changed to UCPath values.
When we open the FY20 Forecast, we'll convert HCP distributions to use the new UCPathsalary account codes 50200 - Academic Salaries & Wages and 51200 - Staff Salaries & Wages and modify HCP to continue to calculate Composite Benefit Rates.
Please reach out to the UCPath team at ucpathberkeleyinfo@lists.berkeley.edu with questions about UCPath.
If you have questions about CalPlanning, please contact the Help Desk at calplanhelp@berkeley.edu or (510) 664-9000 option 1 (for IT), then 2 (for CalPlanning).
Thank you,
CalPlanning Team
