Form A and Budget Template via data entry service due today
If you are submitting a Form A and/or have chosen to take advantage of the data entry service to enter your Budget Template data into CalPlanning, completed materials are due by the end of the day today. Check out the Budget Template Access job aid for instructions to navigate the Office of the CFO Google Drive and access your Form A and Budget Template. Send your completed documents and questions to the Budget Template Workgroup via email: budgettemplate@berkeley.edu.

Divisional Budget Dashboard optional narratives due April 21
As a follow-up to last week's forum, we'll be sharing the prototype Divisional Budget Dashboard with the Deans and VCs next Tuesday, April 11. We'll ask them to partner with you to submit the optional narrative portions of the dashboard to the Office of the CFO via cfocommunications@berkeley.edu by Friday, April 21
Starting next week, we'll send early drafts of your dashboard metrics to you for a preview. We'll complete your divisional dashboard using your narratives and final budget submissions, and we'll provide the final version to you, the EVCP, and your Dean/VC 48 hours in advance of your division's 30-45 min Budget Meeting with the EVCP and CFO during mid-May.

Q3 Quarterly Variance reports due April 27

Campus leadership launched the Quarterly Variance Reporting and Flash Forecast process this year to deliver transparent reporting to divisional leaders; improve the quality of actual, budget, and forecast data; and allow divisions to course-correct throughout the year. Your Q3 Variance reports will be due Thursday, April 27 and your Forecast will be due with your Budget Submission on Friday, May 5. We'll send your quarterly variance reports for completion in the near future. 

IT Productivity Suite assessment chartstring confirmation due April 28

It's time to prepare for the FY2016-17 IT Productivity Suite assessment. By Friday, April 28, please validate the chartstring to be debited for your division. If you do not respond by this date, your division will be assessed on the same chartstring used last year. Questions, email the team: productivitysuite@berkeley.edu. To validate your chartstring: 

  1. Review the "PS Funding Model" tab in this Excel file to find your division's charge amount and chartstring.
  2. Whether you keep the same chartstring used last year or plan to update it, please email productivitysuite@berkeley.edu with your division name and confirmed DeptID and fund by Friday, April 28.
