The FY26 fall forecasting process is now officially underway. This webpage provides everything you need, including key dates, templates, guidance, and support options, to successfully complete your FY26 fall forecast submission.
FY26 Fall Forecast Process
Given our current budgetary challenges, this exercise is an important opportunity to revisit and refine our financial projections for the year and evaluate how closely they still align with the performance goals established in our original budget. In addition, the re-forecast will allow us to determine if we are on track to meet our Expense Growth Model (EGM) targets, and it will also serve as a basis for calculating the EGM target for FY2026–27. The high-level process and timeline are outlined in the table below.

| November 17 | Divisions submit the template and accompanying narrative to the DFL concierge |
| November 18 to December 5 | Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) analyzes submissions, follows up with divisions as needed, and reviews them with the EVCP and CFO |
Template and Instructions
The FY26 Fall Forecast Template and related instructions are available below. The template has a tab focused on Current Funds Excluding C&G, similar to the budget hearing, and another tab focused on Contracts & Grants (for those Divisions that have C&G). On a separate tab, you will also find a template to provide a brief narrative on any significant changes.
Please complete the FY26 Fall Forecast template and submit it by the end of the day on Monday, November 17. Once finalized, send your completed template to the DFL Concierge at dflconcierge@berkeley.edu.
